Vacations! We look forward to traveling, relaxing and lots of fun for those precious few days we have freedom to go play. Taking your Best Friends can be much more fun than leaving them behind, no matter how much you like and trust your pet sitter. However, taking Rover along requires some simple preparations for a truly enjoyable vacation for everyone.
How many times have you said to your dog “Whew! You have bad doggie breath?” Maybe your dog seems to have bad breath all the time. In this respect, dogs aren’t a lot different than humans, they need their teeth brushed on a regular basis…
Because of improved healthcare, veterinarian care, better eating and exercising habits, “man” and dog are living longer now than any other period of time. And although that’s a good thing, like “man”, man’s best friend develops special needs and health issues as they age.
Although you have taken your dog to the vet for her annual exams, you’ve kept her immunizations current and you’re diligent in feeding her the right foods, sometimes like you and I, your dog is going to get sick. Then what do you do? Do you wait and watch or do you take her to the vet?
Spring is on the way! What a wonderful time of year…flowers are blooming, the sun is coming out more often and the air is warming up.
Unfortunately there is one drawback to the beautiful weather…the appearance of fleas. Just thinking about it gives most people the “creepy crawlies”!
But wait, spring is over and my dog still has fleas!
